Date: Friday, 29 July 2005 11:02 (UTC)It certainly seems to require that you pronounce the Latin honours in English; I'd pronounce "summa cum laude" roughly as "soomma coom low-deh" rather than "summuh come lawd", so the joke doesn't work that well for me.
