ward conference
Sunday, 2 March 2003 18:50Today was a long day at church. At 12:00, we met at the ward meeting-house for a brunch: everyone had brought something and we had a potluck dinner.
After lunch and conversation, some people went for a "constitutional" around the block and along the canal behind the meeting-house; this was especially popular with the children.
Then, at 3 o'clock, the actual conference started: priesthood/Relief Society/Primary in the first 90 minutes and then sacrament meeting and conference talks in the next 90. So by the time that was over at six, we had been there for six hours. Phew! I'm glad to be back home.
(BTW, we found out that Stella didn't win the Laura Ashley dress she was bidding on at eBay.)
