Ireen's birthday party
Saturday, 17 December 2005 20:19It's my sister Ireen's 30th birthday today, and she had invited us to a party in the Pinneberg ward meeting house.
I had a rather nice time—better than I had anticipated (I never know how I'll do at social events; I could end up sitting in a corner or I could end up having some interesting conversations, as I did tonight).
I had a nice chat with Sandra (aka 李善妲) about all sorts of things, including Chinese; she started a language school with a friend of hers, apparently, and gives lessons, including in Chinese. She's also published a book on learning Chinese, especially (I believe) for children. I also talked with Felix, Angelika's friend; and also with various others throughout the afternoon.

I believe her husband is from Morocco. (Though AFAIK he's a German citizen now.)
