Anonymous Valentine's Day messages
Tuesday, 31 January 2006 15:28I rather liked
140204 and
140205; unfortunately,
140206 hasn't stepped up to the plate yet.
However,
21406 exists and appears to have the same idea, so if there's someone you want to leave a message for (anonymously or not), go ahead and do so! (And let them know about the community—it's a community this year—so that they'll know to look for messages to them.)

I admit it's a nice thought, however. But wouldn't someone just be better off replying anonymously to one of your posts?

Not everyone has public posts; not everyone allows anonymous comments; some people log IP addresses of anonymous commenters, which the commenter might not want. And not everyone appreciates comments that don't have anything to do with the subject matter of the post that's being commented on. I don't know.

I LOVE your icon tho! :D

However, I'd expect threads to deal with a specific person, and posts for different people to go into different threads. And since the topmost comment of each thread is always displayed in full (I think), that should be enough. So you'd "only" have to check multiple pages of comments once there were enough for it to page, but not open each individual thread.

*nods* I remember seeing some people really touched by what was written for them in the past two years.
I LOVE your icon tho! :D
Thanks!
I got it from a support community;
