I rather liked [livejournal.com profile] 140204 and [livejournal.com profile] 140205; unfortunately, [livejournal.com profile] 140206 hasn't stepped up to the plate yet.

However, [livejournal.com profile] 21406 exists and appears to have the same idea, so if there's someone you want to leave a message for (anonymously or not), go ahead and do so! (And let them know about the community—it's a community this year—so that they'll know to look for messages to them.)

I'm rather sad about the lack of [livejournal.com profile] 140206's updates, but at least there's a community to make up for it now. Thanks for spreading the word about it.

Agh. The thought of looking through all those? Even if someone DID tell me specifically to check it out, I'd probably give it a miss.

Not much of a romantic, I know :)

I admit it's a nice thought, however. But wouldn't someone just be better off replying anonymously to one of your posts?

Well, the entries are categorised by first letter of username/realname... and then you can use your browser's "find in page" function to grep for "sovereigna" without having to scan each comment visually.

But wouldn't someone just be better off replying anonymously to one of your posts?

Not everyone has public posts; not everyone allows anonymous comments; some people log IP addresses of anonymous commenters, which the commenter might not want. And not everyone appreciates comments that don't have anything to do with the subject matter of the post that's being commented on. I don't know.

Agreed about the personal journals, and the listed by letter, but does your browser find a word hidden in a thread? (haven't tried it myself.)

I mightn't feel inspired by it, but I'm sure there are people out there who's day will feel that bit brighter by it. And that's what it's for.

I LOVE your icon tho! :D

Not unless they use the username as the subject of the comment (which I think is a good idea in such journals to make things easier to find, anyway).

However, I'd expect threads to deal with a specific person, and posts for different people to go into different threads. And since the topmost comment of each thread is always displayed in full (I think), that should be enough. So you'd "only" have to check multiple pages of comments once there were enough for it to page, but not open each individual thread.

I'm sure there are people out there who's day will feel that bit brighter by it. And that's what it's for.

*nods* I remember seeing some people really touched by what was written for them in the past two years.

I LOVE your icon tho! :D

Thanks!

I got it from a support community; [livejournal.com profile] legomymalfoy made some Valentine's Day icons and shared them there.

So you'd "only" have to check multiple pages of comments

You mean (for example) the 23 pages of "s & t's" in 2005? ;)
