I'm in Lademannbogen now (got a call on Friday evening telling me to report here on Monday morning!)

Slowly getting things set up -- I have a computer, but no account yet, so I'm logged in as someone else. Reading lots of background documentation.

The computer here has a split ("ergonomic") keyboard. Apparently, I've been typing the "b" key with the "wrong" hand all my life, since it's on the left half but I press it with my right index finger -- which now always hits empty space or the left edge of the "n" key instead.

Also, I'm used to typing "gh" with one hand if the two letters occur consecutively, but that's not possible here. Other than that, my finger macros work fairly well.

Actually, according to every typing guide I've ever seen, those keyboards just have the B on the wrong side.

Other than that, does it actually feel better? I find them awkward.

Better? Er, not as such so far. I'm getting used to them, but I'm not sure where I see an advantage at the moment.
