What a nice vista you have from here

Stella and I each bought a new computer and a new flatscreen monitor from Aldi today (they have them on offer roughly twice a year).

They came with Vista, so we'll have to see what that's like.

I'm a bit disappointed that the graphics card didn't have a DVI output -- they do have HDMI, but that doesn't help us much since the monitor only has VGA and DVI inputs. So we'll have to connect the digital monitor to the analog input, which is a bit meh.

Vista is kind of strange. It doesn't feel any better than XP (and, in fact, uses up more memory...so I'm still curious how more memory + no noticeable performance improvement = worthwhile?).
