Not enough memory to continue. Abort, Retry, Fail?

Bleah. Since Vista is chewing up so much memory, I thought I'd upgrade.

Just like I upgraded my XP box from 0.5 GB to 1.5 GB; this one has 2 GB already, but it feels like half that. (I've heard the 2:1 ratio is pretty common, i.e. Vista will feel roughly like an XP box with half the memory.)

However, when I tried Crucial's systems scan, it tells me my motherboard can only handle 2 GB total memory.
