So the niecelings are watching in fascination over here :) Did you know she has an accent in English? It's adorably cute.

Yes, I think she has a German accent in her English.

I'm not sure whether this is something she'll grow out of (since her spoken German isn't perfectly pronounced, either, starting with but certainly not limited to [t] for /k/ many times, or [h] for /R/) or whether it'll stay with her.

On the one hand, I'd be a little sad; on the other hand, I have a bit of an accent, too; and on the third hand, being able to speak English fluently, though with an accent, is still better than not being able to speak English at all.

Many children who grow up speaking English in non English speaking countries with English speaking parents (native or not) wind up with a little bit of an accent, mostly because they hear the other language all the time. I have a friend who is 16 and hasl ived in Hungary since she was 4, her father is Canadian and her mother Persian. They speak English and Farsi at home, but she speaks English with a bit of an accent because she speaks Hungarian with her friends and in school and everything. But it's usually not a strong accent, and I think it's more about the rhythm they put in their sentences in addition to minor pronunciation issues.

I don't have sound at work but she's really a little doll! You need a new up to date Amy userpic.

True; the old one is a bit over a year old now. Will have to work on that.
