President Hinckley dead at 97

President Gordon B. Hinckley died at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening (2008-01-27) from causes incident to age. (External news story in Deseret News.)

I expect that Thomas S. Monson will be the next president, then, though the successor is not expected to be formally chosen by the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles until after President Hinckley’s funeral within the next few days. (Church news release)
