TOAD for MySQL freeware
Wednesday, 13 February 2008 14:38I was just reading an entry in the "We hates software" mailing list in Gmail and an ad caught my eye -- "Toad for MySQL freeware".
And the link indeed went to toadsoft.com, so it was legit (which surprised me a little, since the original Toad costs mucho dinero AFAIK), but what amused me as well was that "Toad" stands for, I believe, "Tool for Oracle Application Developers".
Which would make this freeware product "Tool for Oracle Application Developers for MySQL". Shouldn't it be called "Tmad" then, instead? :)

Date: Thursday, 14 February 2008 08:23 (UTC)I didn't know there was a Freeware version, though looking at http://www.toadsoft.com/toad_oracle.htm I see there's one linked from there.
We had the commercial version at work and I found it pretty nifty as well. (I say "had" because we thought we had enough licences for everyone, but it turned out after several years that we only had one.)
