Eep? The sitemap at the bottom (on site-scheme pages) suddenly got bigger.

Yick. More screen real estate in places I'm not used to having taken up by nav stuff rather than content.

The odd thing is that I had just opened a bunch of tabs, and they must have pushed it live right in the middle, since the first few tabs had the old, small sitemap and the next ones had the new, bigger one.

Yeah, I had the same reaction. I saw the same sort of creep reduce my free webmail account screen to a laughably small proportion of the page. Literally, the default is to show something like three lines of an email in order to fit in all the ads and navigation bars. It couldn't be uglier and less usable if it were a Microsoft product.

Ack! I hadn't noticed yet, I do most everything in my selected style. Gross!

One of my favorite sites, last.fm, just did much the same thing -- site redesign that moved some stuff that had been on the side-columns into the middle column. Why do so many pages feel they must use only the middle third of the screen?

Gee. And why "change language"? i'm not planning on changing language every few minutes.

Heh, I quickly translated it to German, and it's even uglier that way.
