...that's the first time I've come across anything like this. (Seen in a shop window in Chur.)

Heehee, they sell them all over the place here in the US. Unfortunately, they really don't work well at all.

What are they supposed to do? Let the baby listen to music? Let you listen to your baby?

Are they a kind of stethoscope? A baby monitor? Or what?

Just looking at the packaging through the shop window didn't really give me any idea of what they were intended for.

They're a doppler to listen to your baby's heartbeat on. Again-they really don't work all that well =/ Raven had one during her pregnancy, and sometimes you could kind of hear something, but it can also pick up the mother's heartbeat, so.

We considered getting one of those when we were pregnant but didn't because it really seemed like a waste of money.
