Amy was dry during the night for two weeks at a stretch, even without a nappy, so (as Stella had promised her) the nappy fairy came on Saturday night and took her nappies away and took them to a younger child that still needed them, and left a little Playmobil present for Amy.

Since then, Amy has started wetting her bed every single night.

I don't get it. Two weeks, not a single incident. Since then, every single night.

Well, she got the present, so why make any more efforts?

Either just relax and keep changing sheets for a while, or try a sticker chart and a new present ;-)

It's just that it didn't seem to me like a specific effort on her part, just that she seemed to be "ready"! (And I wouldn't have thought that conscious decisions have much effect during your sleep.)

But perhaps it was indeed the incentive that kept her going.

Who knows.

Perhaps she did subconsciously program herself to stay dry.

Interestingly enough, Frederick has almost the same "problem". His bed stayed dry for most nights during the past month or so, but for the last week he has been wetting it just about every night, and he also has many "accidents" during the day.

I hope it is just a phase that will pass soon.

Amazing how these things go!

Erika's definitely not dry during the night yet. Some nights, sure, but not more than 50% of the time. I feel like it's going to be a while for her, she's a really sound sleeper.

How interesting! Zoe is doing well...the first day of school, though, she had some issues...but she's been coming home with her big-girl underwear on. She still gets a treat (Mommy's brown cookie (Grasshoppers) or Nemo snacks) every time she goes potty...maybe Amy still needs a little thing for a little while?

Do you take her out of bed to pee? My older niece had to be "peed" at night until she was past four. Her parents would just pick her up and take her right before they went to bed, most nights she never woke up

This morning, Stella set her alarm for 5 am to take Amy to the toilet; she was still dry then (and didn't seem to mind being taken there, either).

She said she's going to try that for a while, perhaps advancing the time five minutes at a go, until her first pee of the morning is at a more "reasonable" (for us) time again.

*hugs*
It will get better. J is still not staying dry every single night, although he's been doing better.

I have the feeling though, he's about to get worse. B starts class again on Monday which means there will be at least 2 days a week (sometimes 3, depending on whether or not he has a council meeting that week) where J won't see him AT ALL and that really tends to make him Not A Happy Boy.
