Sounds fascinating, but the cover price is a bit too steep considering it would be purely for personal interest. I am however strongly considering enrolling at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London at some point to take some foreign language courses; I just can't decide whether I want to learn Arabic, Japanese or Mandarin (three languages they teach in great depth), and if it's one of the latter two I might just need that book after all :)
