Do you have a will? (As in, "this is what should happen to my property after my death"?)

If so, since when? What made you decide to draw one up?

How complex would you say it is, on a scale from 1 ("Everything to my sister") to 10 (drawn up by lawyers, detailed accounting of all your belongings, codicils for whom to disinherit should they do X thing or conditions à la "Person A gets object/sum B only if they do C"; basically, the works)?

We have wills. It was not too hard, just a visit to a solicitor to say what we wanted, then back in a few days to make sure that what he wrote was what we said.

We got it done when our son was little, mainly because he existed. The goal was to make sure he was taken care of, and to name the people who would decide on his care if we both died when he was a minor.

Nothing fancy, fairly painless.

When I was pregnant with my eldest, we made wills - we had a lawyer do them properly, and they included a nominated guardian for the unborn child, but where the property goes is quite simple. We updated them when circumstances changed and a more appropriate nominated guardian appeared on the horizon.

I had a will drawn up a few months after my first child was born. I was more concerned with specifying who would get custody than allocation of property.

A lawyer friend of mine took care of the wording, so on a scale of 1 to 10 it's probably a 3.

I don't have one. I always get the feeling that perhaps I should, just in case, but nothing's come of it so far.

I haven't, but I've been thinking a lot about it since we've bought TehHouse. Since we aren't married yet, if one of us dies, the other one won't inherit the other half of TehHouse, but probably all of the mortgage, because we both signed it...
