This morning, Amy wanted a window seat, as usual—and there was none free, as is also very common.
However, a lady asked her little daughter (who was sitting by the window) to get up, allowing Amy to sit, there.
The girl was also five, was called Milana, and she spoke Chechen with her mother. I think that makes that the first time that I’ve (knowingly) heard Chechen here in Germany. Apparently, she also speaks Russian and German; I hadn’t expected Russian at that age, though it didn’t surprise me to hear that her mother could speak it.
