Mozy’s strange arithmetic

I had noticed that recently, my Mozy backup client started doing weird things with the “Files awaiting backup” and “Complete” numbers… sometimes I would find it as “100% Complete” and “Files awaiting backup: 132 (0 bytes)” when the list of files still to be backed up had lots of files more more than 0 bytes. (And the first line shows that the percentage of the file currently being transferred steadily increases.)

But right now, it says that backup is -2709% complete.

It’s as if it’s pulling numbers out of its sleeve, or something.
