I replied "1400×1050", but it's actually 1440 x 900.

My current workstation is a Sun Ultra 24 with the Sun 24" monitor, so I answered 1900x1200. However, I'm seriously considering switching to a SPARCstation 20 (cg3, 1152x900 in 8-bit colour) as my main desktop. I have no reason for this other than I have an irrational dislike of modern computers.

It took me a while to figure out how to find out my resolution! Eventually I thought of xdpyinfo, which said:

  dimensions:    1024x600 pixels (216x127 millimeters)
  resolution:    120x120 dots per inch
