The Economist’s “Johnson” blog, about languages, had an article a while ago about headline puns based on the Chinese currency, the “yuan”, where it is used for “one” or “want”.

This seems odd to me, because I pronounce it something like [jɥɛn], which sounds nothing at all like either English word. Ah well.
