While looking through my spamtrap, I saw the above subject line.

I got as far as the first two letters and thought, “That’s a curious combination of sounds”. Had a look at the sender, and it had a .mn ending.

I guess I got spam in Mongolian. Now that’s a first.

(Fifty points for whoever can translate the subject. I have no idea what it says.)

Maybe someone in linguaphiles would be able to help with translation?

I plugged words and phrases into this dictionary, and most individual words came out as things but I can't tell how they're combining. (For instance, орон сууц appears to be something like 'house/dwelling/apartment', and түрээс appears to be something like 'lease'.) Also, I'm a little uneasy about the fact that everything I plugged into the dictionary appeared to be right there, without needing suffix modifications, when Mongolian is an agglutinative language.

Possibly, but TBH I’m not that curious that I can be bothered to ask there :)

So maybe it’s actually pidgin spammer Mongolian?

I've received spam in "Finnish" that looks like someone used a free machine translator to translate something into Finnish, not knowing that usually it gives a very bad result. Maybe your spammer is doing the same thing?
