The things you learn: skink

In Klingon, there’s an animal toqvIr lung translated as “Tokvirian skink”.

I thought that was a made-up word, but apparently, there really are animals called “skinks”. Huh!

(And they’re lizards, which makes sense, given that lung “loong” is described as a lizard-like animal. I presume the name was influenced by the Chinese word 龍 lóng for a dragon.)

I knew about skinks ...

... but only because I'd heard of a music composition/editing/transcription program called 5 Line Skink named after the animal five lined skink.

What I hadn't realized until this morning is that "skink" is almost as much fun to type as it is to say. Skink skink skink ...

Does Klingon have a ready term for the Cullen Skink?

In about the same way that, say, Swahili or Quechua does.

So, no, not a ready term as such, but they'd probably take a generic term (such as “soup”) and add the foreign name to it (“cullen skink soup”, à la “naan bread” in English).

Something like qu'len SIqIng chatlh, perhaps (chatlh being a kind of thick soup).
