Ooh! Congratulations, Tali!

Date: Monday, 5 January 2004 02:16 (UTC)*nods* Yes. Privs don't come after every review.
And you were doing a mixed job at that point (end of November); some good things but still a fair number of spelling mistakes and awkward phrasing, so consensus was to let you stay I1 for a while.
I'm sorry if I got your hopes up unduly with that review.

Date: Monday, 5 January 2004 02:20 (UTC)I had to tell like a million people that. Over and over and over.
Everyone thought I had I2s. Why?

Date: Monday, 5 January 2004 02:30 (UTC)I think a bunch of people tend to guess someone's priv level from their activity level (as in, I've seen that person around a bunch and they've been doing support a while; they're probably I2s), but the two don't correlate that well.
Or someone may be good in some areas but have some "rough edges" in others; those who see mostly the good bits might overestimate someone's priv level.
In the end, though, I'm not sure why.

And I'm leaving more humorous ICs. I love this priv.

Date: Monday, 5 January 2004 02:17 (UTC)I think one of the ceremonial rites of new I2dom is to go through past requests and look at the approval ICs :)
But that kind of thing is not encouraged; many simply aren't that spectacular and you don't gain that much from it. But many new I2s do so anyway.

(Note: It's traditional at this point to go back through some of your old requests and read the internals. This won't teach you anything much or help in any way, but it's sometimes fun. :))"
Eh, you guys took way too long to give me them. It took me over an hour to go through them all and I gave up and skipped several pages.

Date: Monday, 5 January 2004 02:28 (UTC)*nods* I thought about that before sending them to you. But I figured that I was fine in doing so in that case.

Ah, so it's still in the I2 letter ^^
Eh, you guys took way too long to give me them.
We felt you weren't quite "there" yet.

Re: Too Close!!!
Date: Monday, 5 January 2004 01:18 (UTC)I imagine that this means a southern summer will be slightly warmer, all other things being equal, than a northern summer of the same degree of latitude.
