PSA: Permanent Account Sale

For those of you who aren't watching news: (1) shame on you and go add it now, and (2) LiveJournal will be having another permanent account sale soon.

The price has gone up to USD 150, which would be about four years of paid accounts + extra userpics. Or maybe you just want it as a status symbol or to support LiveJournal so the sum isn't so relevant? Anyway, thought I'd let y'all know.

Oh, and if you hadn't heard, there were purges recently, freeing up a bunch of usernames, so if you always wanted to rename but your favourite name was taken...

The price has gone up to USD 150, which would be six years of "plain" paid accounts but less if you factor in the extra userpics etc.

It's basically four years of paid+extrapics. (paid is $25/year, extra userpic space is $10/year, which makes $35/year for both; four years is $140, which is a little less than the current price of permanent accounts.)

Thanks; I was too lazy to figure in the userpics, but I think that many of the people who'd want a perm account would also want the extra space.

Hm, suddenly this is even more tempting. Even though $150 is a lot of cash all at once... but I've been liking my extra userpics, and have been using LiveJournal for a while... four more years doesn't seem that unrealistic...

Will have to ponder this. Especially if, as seems possible, I'll drop out of support, so no more PAF for me.

That's counting the yearly bundles. Bought in smaller amounts, a year of paid time can cost $30, the pictures $12, so the yearly total is $42...

So four years bought in two month segments is $168. A permanent account is about 3.5 years that way.
