- Go to my userinfo page.
- Pick one person on my friends list you're curious about.
- Comment with their username.
- And I will tell all about them*.
- Now post this in your journal, see who is curious about whom.
*DISCLAIMER: No guarantees that there will be much info for some, and there will never be anything mentioned that is overly personal. I promise.
And I should add: many of the users on my friends list I know only casually, so there'll not likely be much for anyone.

Date: Saturday, 16 July 2005 18:50 (UTC)zompist
Date: Saturday, 16 July 2005 18:59 (UTC)I first came across him because he maintained the FAQ for the Usenet newsgroup sci.lang. I later returned because of the constructed languages and the virtual world (Almea) he created -- first for a D&D campaign and later fleshed out considerably. I was "into" Verdurian (his most well-developed languages) for quite a while but haven't found/made time for Almeology in the past few years.
I don't know why he calls himself zompist. I think it was a handle from a role-playing game, but I don't know whether it has a meaning or not. His domain is zompist.com (after the provider that hosted his site, tezcat.com, closed up shop, he got himself a domain name of his own so that the URL would be stable).

Date: Monday, 18 July 2005 04:04 (UTC)I added him a while back when he was posting "the balloon polls" -- see his userinfo for information and links to some of them.
He hasn't posted anything new recently, though.

Date: Monday, 18 July 2005 11:43 (UTC)I don't know that much about her, though. I believe she's from Scotland or from the north of England (though that may merely be where she studied). Recently finished her PhD in, I believe, biology or something similar. Jewish, and fairly observant I believe.
...I suck at getting to know people, I think. (Or at least, remembering things about them.)
