And the pun in Chinese is that 牛 is pronounced niú - so, Happy Niú Year :)

I wouldn't even know the pronunciation in Japanese... only going for recognition so far.

On-yomi "GYŪ", kun-yomi "ushi", IIRC.

I'm using this webpage (http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~ik2r-myr/kanji/kanji2a.htm) to learn and on Monday my Japnese course will continue. Looking forward to it, because I met some people there last summer I'm looking forward to.
